Claudia Castaños: Driving Mexico’s Logistics Future at Worldwide Logistics Group

Claudia Cecilia Castaños Viedas leads Worldwide Logistics Group’s operations in Mexico, shaping the country’s role in global supply chains with over 20 years of experience in freight forwarding, customs, and logistics management.

Castaños began her career in 1996 in account management within financial services before moving into logistics. Between 2008 and 2011, she served as Director General at Vasco Mexicana de Transportes S.A. de C.V., managing cross-border transport services. She later co-founded Terra WL Logistica in 2011 and was Director General and shareholder at Grupo Cargoways Mexico from 2012 to 2021, overseeing strategic growth, business development, and service expansion.

In January 2021, she joined Worldwide Logistics Group as Managing Director for Mexico, leading operations and expanding capabilities in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and near-shoring logistics, especially in the automotive and machinery sectors.

Her academic background includes a Licenciatura in Administration and Finance from Universidad Panamericana and a degree in Administration from Escuela Bancaria y Comercial. She is proficient in German and English, supporting her engagement in international logistics partnerships and trade negotiations.

Castaños is known for her strategic vision, expertise in navigating complex customs regulations, and commitment to innovation and talent development within the logistics industry.
