Pierre Ngon: African Logistics Leader with Continental Impact

Pierre Ngon is a seasoned logistics and transport executive with nearly two decades of experience driving operational excellence across Africa’s supply chain sector. A Cameroonian national, he has built a strong reputation for strategic leadership, regional logistics development, and operational performance in complex cross border markets.

Ngon holds a Master’s degree in Management, Accounting and Finance from the University of Douala in Cameroon, grounding his expertise in both financial discipline and operational strategy. His academic background, combined with deep familiarity with African trade corridors and supply chain dynamics, has underpinned a career focused on expanding logistics capabilities across the continent.

He began his professional journey in logistics with Africa Global Logistics in 2004, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s operations in Central and West Africa. His early contributions included leadership positions in logistics management in Equatorial Guinea and Niger, where he strengthened local operations and enhanced service delivery across multimodal transport systems.

In September 2020, Ngon was appointed Managing Director of the Benin Niger cluster at Bolloré Transport and Logistics, one of West Africa’s largest logistics and shipping groups at the time. In this role he oversaw the development of logistics activities across both countries, with a particular focus on the critical transport corridor linking the Port of Cotonou in Benin with Niger. His mandate included driving end to end logistics solutions, optimizing freight movement, and enhancing customer focused services for importers and exporters operating in the region.

Under Ngon’s leadership, the Benin Niger cluster pursued innovative and agile logistics solutions tailored to local and international market needs, leveraging his deep knowledge of regional trade flows and infrastructure challenges. His tenure consolidated the company’s presence in this important trans West African corridor, strengthening its competitive position in a dynamic logistics landscape.

In April 2024, Ngon returned to Africa Global Logistics, now part of the MSC Group, as Director of Logistics Operations at the company’s headquarters. In this senior role, he assists the Managing Director of Logistics Solutions in supervising and improving the efficiency of supply chain operations across AGL’s extensive network. His responsibilities include driving performance enhancements in both import and export flows, supporting customer needs across multimodal routes, and ensuring quality and competitiveness of services delivered to clients throughout Africa.

Ngon’s experience spans operational leadership, strategic planning, and cross functional coordination across markets that are central to Africa’s economic integration. His work has contributed to strengthening logistics networks, improving corridor efficiency and enhancing the ability of African businesses to connect to global trade.
