About Global Intermodal Council
The Global Intermodal Council, GIC, is a corporate led global networking platform that brings together senior decision makers across the intermodal logistics value chain. It is structured to connect organizations that operate, finance, and support the movement of global trade. Its membership spans freight forwarders, shipping lines, port operators, warehouse and distribution companies, land transport operators, and third party logistics providers.
GIC was established to provide a trusted corporate environment where relationships can develop into partnerships, investments, and long term business collaboration. The platform is designed to facilitate cross border engagement and strengthen commercial connectivity between markets.
Operating through regional councils in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas, and Europe, the Council gives members access to a curated international network, high level convenings, and professional recognition through the Global Intermodal Council Institute. It also provides a confidential environment that supports mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments. Membership is corporate, selective, and approval based, ensuring engagement remains senior level, commercially focused, and built on trust.
GIC serves organizations and leaders who are building, financing, operating, and transforming the infrastructure and services that move global trade.
